Folkscape is delighted to welcome three generations of English folk excellence as John Kirkpatrick, Sue Harris, and Benji Kirkpatrick come together for a very special live streamed concert.

John Kirkpatrick and Sue Harris have been at the heart of the English folk scene for more than five decades. Since first performing together in the early 1970s, they have become two of the country’s most respected traditional musicians, renowned for their exceptional musicianship, deep knowledge of English traditional music, and their warmth and humour on stage.

After many years pursuing separate musical paths, John and Sue reunited to perform together once again, joined by their son, Benji Kirkpatrick. A celebrated musician in his own right, Benji is well known for his work with Bellowhead, Faustus, and Seth Lakeman, bringing contemporary flair while remaining deeply rooted in the tradition.

Together they create a captivating evening that blends treasured songs from John and Sue’s extensive repertoire with new arrangements and beautifully crafted performances featuring all three musicians. From driving melodeon tunes and intricate hammered dulcimer melodies to soaring vocals and outstanding acoustic musicianship, this is folk music performed by artists who have helped shape the tradition itself.
